My seven year old daughter took this picture of me before our nature hike in our neighborhood. She is in between day camps this week so she gets to sleep in but the problem is she then can't fall asleep at night. So I have to get us out of the house, even if it means a walk or a trip to the Dollar Tree. As one of my favorite female comedians Stefanie Wilder-Taylor likes to say, you have to become Julie McCoy from the Love Boat.
Today I'm dressed in full on mom attire. I have been loving the bird theme that is everywhere so I have on the Target version by Merona. My skinny cropped jeans are old Route 66 from Kmart and the espadrilles are last years Soludos for J.Crew.
You know you are desperate for a creative outlet when you start getting artistic in the Dollar Tree. I staged these boxes of cookies for my photography and then snapped away. A mommy has to find her inner Margaret Bourke-White. I sure don't know who Bud is but apparently he has the best cookies.
Although I did not purchase Bud's cookies, I did pick up these cute hair clips.
