Los Gatos Dreaming

Here I am strolling in one of the cutest California towns.  Los Gatos is a dream and in this picture I am in front of my favorite vintage house, having just walked about two blocks from Anthropologie.  How cool would that be, to be able to just mosey on down to Anthropologie and J.Crew along with a few other fun stores.  The town even has a cute bakery that sells delicious frosted cookies and pies.
Wrapped up in Anthro paper is the Massey Tweed jacket by Isani that I bought "As Is" because it was missing a few beads in the back.  Los Gatos has now joined other cities with a bag ban, so I can't have a complimentary paper bag, but I can have free paper, as long as it's not in the shape of a bag.  Because we all know that a big wad of loose paper is better than a bag made of paper.

With the nautical trend going strong this spring, Jaclyn Smith for Kmart has added cute blue crabs to her button down shirts this season.  I think they look nice over skinny jeans or tucked into a denim skirt.  I own her owl shirt from the fall and they are just cute, affordable tops to have around for when you want to keep it casual.

Dress: Isaac Mizrahi dress for QVC.  A few years old.
Belt:  Target.
Necklace: Anthropologie older.
Shoes: Target Mossimo Ona flat in blue.
Handbag:  Isaac Mizrahi for QVC score from Marshalls a few years back.  Including dust cover.
Shirt:  Jaclyn Smith for Kmart Crab Print Utility Shirt.

  1. You are picture perfect in your beautiful dress and charming background! Love!
I didn't know that paper bags were now being banned at stores like Anthro. They have banned plastic bags down here in Los Angeles and you have to pay to get a brown bag at grocery stores but they haven't gone that far yet. Interesting! Los Gatos looks so pretty - I must get up there one of these days.

    1. I could have a bag if I wanted but you have to pay 10 cents, or something along those lines. I have a collection of paper bags that I keep in the trunk of my car and at home and I try to remember to bring them, but there are those moments when you find yourself empty handed.
Los Gatos is pretty, along with Saratoga which is very close by. They are little jewels of towns near Silicon Valley and a quick drive from San Jose, Ca.
      Thanks for stopping by,

  2. First, that is so crazy that they would not give you a bag! So silly. I am sure the plastic straw being used at a restaurant on that same street is worse than one paper bag.

You look so pretty. I love you in blue. I would love to live in that house, too.

And I love crabs! I refuse to eat them because I love them so much! Now I want that top.

    1. Thank you for the sweet compliment. I have started adding more blue into my wardrobe since I appreciate it more. Maybe it's a sign of pink exhaustion.
I agree that the plastic is probably worse and in a bag form they can fly all over hell creating pollution. At least if it's a very special purchase they should not charge for a bag. I was fine carrying my "as is" item as shown, but a saleslady once told me that she felt bad when people bought expensive dresses. Those need more protection and if one is paying a lot of money, just give them the bag for free.
      Have a nice evening,

  3. That would be rather awesome (re: living a stone's throw from those fab store)....well, at least until the weighed-five-pounds credit card bill arrived! :)

What a charming, absolutely beautiful neighbour. You've got to adore anywhere that still has classic white picket fences like that.

    ♥ Jessica

  4. Luckily there are still cute, old neighborhoods dotted all around California. It's such a fun state for road trips.
You made a great point about the problem one could run into if they lived in walking distance to fun stores. But on the up side, you could be the first to hit the sales.
    Thanks for stopping by,
