Bringing out the Archival Pencil

My Pencil pencil skirt has been getting a great workout lately.  I finally got around to wearing this after it sat in my closet and of course I'm now thinking, "what took so long?" I am finding that some of my pieces from the Anthropologie Archival Collection from last year, tend to be my favorites.
The skirt is so comfortable, I wore it for two of my daughter's plays.  One time with a sparkly Forever 21 necklace and the other time I wore the ModCloth globe for a more academic look.
I originally had worn an aqua shirt with the globe necklace and the pictures were not to my liking so on a warm Sunday I decided to get dressed up for a redo. The skirt was comfortable enough to wear all day in the heat and for a little nature hike I switched into walking shoes and removed the necklace.
I'm ready for another Archival collection.

Skirt: Anthropologie Archival Collection Pencil skirt.
Shirt:  Isaac Mizrahi for QVC.
Necklace: Forever 21 Faux Gem Collar
Necklace: ModCloth Sense of Self Earth.
Shoes: Talbots old leather espadrilles.
Handbag:  Vintage Theodor in navy.

  1. I'm ready for another archival collection too! I love our Beanstalk skirt! Have you paired the Beanstalk with any color other than white or green? I am stuck on those two colors and would love to know if you have any ideas.

    1. I forgot that you have the Beanstalk skirt. That is one of my favorites and I wore it a lot on our vacation last year. When it came time to wash it, I was tempted to wash it in cold water but I decided to follow the instructions and have it dry cleaned. It came out OK but I think they had a hard time pressing the appliques.
I did pair the skirt with orange, in fact I think it was the shirt I am wearing with the pencil skirt. It is in one of my blog posts from last year. I still like the green the best. A certain shade of blue could be pretty, like a turquoise. White sounds pretty too.
      Thanks for stopping by,
      Stacey

    2. Thank you, Stacey! I bet turquoise would be really pretty. Also, thank you so much for your comment on my blog today. That was very helpful and reassuring!

  2. Aw, I love your two different stylings of the skirt! The Forever21 necklace is so glam and flirty, but the scholarly little globe is just adorable. I absolutely love it! I think the Archival Collection is genius and really showcases Anthro's iconic pieces: the whimsy, the playfulness, the romance, and its more eclectic side.

    1. Thank you Liz.
I never thought about it, but you make a great point that the Anthro Archival Collection brought out the "whimsy, playfulness, romance and eclectic." At the time I just thought that these were their best sellers. It would be interesting to know what made their decision.
      Have a great day,

  3. I love that skirt. I regret not getting one of those skirts. It is so great. It fits you perfectly. I love that globe necklace from Modcloth. It is right up my alley. I love your pops of color, too!

    1. Thank you Jenni,
I always loved the print but when the skirt was only offered in khaki, I just did not fall for it. Then they brought out the navy version which was more to my liking.
The globe necklace is still available I think. The reviews were mixed in that some of the globes were falling off on some necklaces but mine has been hanging in there.
      Have a great day,
      Stacey
