Picked Plaid for Bigfoot

Sometimes in life when things get too hectic, it's nice to have a break and check out some interesting things you would not normally do.  The Bigfoot museum provided a nice summer escape after a whirlwind of obligations.   It's small and cramped but oh so cute.

If you are a child of the 70's, Bigfoot came into your life through mass media in one way or another.  Pardon the 70's Blondie pun.

It was time for this Anthropologie skirt from 2011 to come out from hiding, unlike Bigfoot who remains hidden at all times.
Skirt: Anthropologie Picked Plaid by Odille. Old.
Shirt: Anthropologie Gathering Tank by Deletta. Old.

Necklace: Anthropologie Aerides by Nakamol.
Shoes: Bronx

  1. I love how quirky and fun this post is! You always have such whimsical backdrops, and your outfit even coordinates with the sign! The print on that skirt is really lovely and woodsy. It's another clever nod, intended or not, to BigFoot hiding in the woods. The green really pops, and the flower statement necklace ties into the lively nature theme as well. Great post! Everything ties together to your theme so well!

    1. Thank you Liz! The funny thing is, I did not plan to match my outfit to the sign. It wasn't until I was looking at the picture later on that I noticed the green sign matched my shirt. And the print on the skirt was a coincidence as well. But that is a clever idea.
The necklace is a really pretty one. I have the brown one too, l love them both.
      Thanks for the sweet compliments,
      Stacey

  3. Oh yes! I remember all the bigfoot stories and was definitely scared. When I was a kid (in the 70's) our house was at the end of the street next to the woods. I thought bigfoot lived in those woods.
Cute skirt! Love it paired with the green!

  4. Thank you. This green shirt goes with so much, I hope Anthro recreates something similar.
That must have been scary living near the woods during the Bigfoot heyday. Luckily he became less scary when goofy TV shows started having Bigfoot themes. Then the whole idea seemed humorous.
    Have a great day,
    Stacey
