Closet Cleanout Discoveries

Staying with the orange theme, I wore this dress that has Ann Taylor Loft on the tag.  I tried to find out online when they dropped the Ann Taylor Loft title but came up empty.  But Loft is still part of the Ann Taylor brand.
I'm guessing this dress is from 2004 and I was surprised to find the sales tag still on.  I used to be so bad about shopping and not wearing my new clothes.  Now the time has come to wear these not so new clothes.

The ruffles on this older J.Crew cardigan had me puzzled to why I ever bought this a few years ago.  It was just another impulse buy that luckily came in handy during the cool morning before the heat set in.

I am happy to leave a positive review on the Eggo pumpkin waffles.  I bought the last box at Target on Sunday and they are delicious.  I especially like them with butter and a hint of syrup.

Dress: Ann Taylor Loft, old.
Cardigan: J.Crew, old.
Shoes: J.Crew Soludos, a few years old.

    1. Yes, this has been a lot of fun. I'm getting rid of items that don't fit right and considering taking a few things to a tailor. I learned the hard way last year that unless I love an item, I should not bother paying the high price of a tailor.
      Thanks for stopping by,

  2. I like that pairing! The cardigan is very pretty and I love the pattern on the dress.

Is that your kitty in the photos? What a beauty.

    1. Thank you for the compliment! Because I put a lot of my clothes in plastic garment bags to keep the moths out, it's harder to see what I have. This was one of the dresses that I forgot I had and the cardigan did not excite me until I found this dress.
My cat is named Coraline and she is beautiful. We adopted her as a kitten from a rescue group and she fits the description of a Birman cat.
      Have a nice evening,

  3. Loving all the peachy and orange-y shades in your last few posts! They definitely have me feeling fall! I love the sweater here with all of that folded fabric embellishment. You know how I'm a sucker for little details.

I'm surprised at your random plug for Eggo waffles and more surprised by my desire to go try them. lol We had company stay with us last month, and they bought some frozen waffles while they were here and didn't end up eating them. Well, we've since eaten them and love how convenient and tasty they are on a weekend morning. We don't buy a lot of frozen foods, and we make most everything from scratch. But I definitely love the idea of a quick, easy, and convenient weekend breakfast. We're definitely on an autumn kick with our coffee and beers flavors. Why not extend that into waffle territory? We're going to have to try them!

    1. Thank you! I'm having fun with orange lately and I do not want to see summer leave yet.
I was having a little writer's block and got inspired to do pumpkin food reviews. This led me to realize that I should be pushing myself to look into affiliate programs. I do so much free advertising! I'm not sure if there are food ones.
Anyway, I do recommend these waffles and I would buy the oatmeal again. If you like nutmeg, you will probably like this oatmeal.
It's fun to make things from scratch but it's good to have quick foods also.
      Have a great evening,
      Stacey

  4. I love the cat photo bomber! So cute! The dress is such a pretty pattern. I love the cardigan, too. I wish it was cool enough to wear one here. It is supposed to be in the 100s all weekend.

    1. I love it when the cats pop in the picture. It makes the pictures more fun.
Even though it is very hot during the day, the mornings are still chilly, so the cute J.Crew cardigans come in handy. I'm glad I am getting use out of the impulse buy cardigans.
Enjoy the last days of the summer weather,
      Stacey
