Fun Clothing Discoveries

During my closet cleaning project, I have been coming across clothing that are truly diamonds in the rough.  Items that you would never guess came from certain stores.  This is the case with my old Victoria's Secret skirt with bright cabbage roses printed all over.
I remember seeing this cotton skirt in the VS catalog and thinking how out of place it was amongst all the skimpy garments.  With my love of vintage, it was an easy purchase for me and currently if you want to find something this retro, your best bet is to shop places like ModCloth or Anthropologie.

While on the topic of retro items, I found these cute drinking glasses at the Dollar Tree that depict vintage era appliances.  I didn't buy any since I have more than enough glasses but they are perfect for someone who loves vintage.
Skirt: Victoria's Secret Hugo Buscati.  Old.
Shirt: Anthropologie Deletta Gathering Tee, no longer available.
Shoes: Gap pointed toe flats, older.

    1. I know, it's one of those funny things. It seems far from VS to have such a retro skirt with roses. I thought the pleats were such a nice touch I had to show a picture of them too.
      Thanks for stopping by,

  2. I would never have guessed that skirt was from Victoria's Secret! It's so you, and I love that it's feminine and flouncy without trying to be overtly sexy, as is their signature.

Thanks for sharing those glasses, too! I love glassware and serving dishes, and we have a fun mix of vintage pieces, fine china, and cheap finds from IKEA and thrift shops. These glasses have such a great retro vibe. It's a reminder to shop strange places for the unexpected. You never know what treasures you might find! I love Dollar Tree for party supplies and cheap tapered candles. I rarely even browse the other aisles. These glasses remind me that I totally should!

    1. The Dollar Tree can be fun sometimes. I even like their hair accessories. I buy the tropical themed hair clips when they have them. The latest clips were plastic tortoise shell plumeria flowers that sold out too quickly. I only bought one set of two.
      Have a nice evening,

  3. I would never guess that skirt came from VS. I love the floral print. The beautiful bright colors. If I saw that skirt out and about, I would definitely know it was a Stacey skirt. Pretty and feminine. Those glasses are so much fun. I hope they wash up okay. I have the worst luck with decalled glasses.

  4. I feel flattered that you called this skirt a Stacey skirt! I have always loved big cabbage roses on clothing. It was really big in the 80's when I was a teenager.
Although I did not buy these, I could see where they could get worn looking if you put them in the dishwasher. Washing them by hand should be fine but I prefer dishes that can go in the dishwasher.
    Have a great afternoon,
    Stacey
