My Blogging Reality

Like Halloween, Christmas allows us to let our creativity flow and bring a little humor to dressing.  I'm missing pointed ears in these pictures but I was still able to rock the Elf look with green tights and pointy toe shoes.  A sprinkling of deer on my dress added a little Elfie action too.

This is my blogging reality.  I spotted this sweet honey of a ride in my parent's neighborhood on Christmas morning.  This is the perfect blog backdrop, an A+++ and I'm dressed for an Ugly Christmas Sweater party.  The blue deer dress outfit would have paired so nicely with the car and I had just been wearing it the night before, in the same neighborhood, on Christmas Eve.  Missed it by that much!

Dress: ModCloth Star Studded Performance in Deer by Emily and Fin.
Necklace: QVC Joan Rivers Jeweled Blossom in Goldtone.
Tights: Target Merona.
Shoes: Bronx green pumps, old.   ModCloth has a similar pair called It's a Date Wedge in teal.

    1. That car is beautiful. I don't know what type of car it is but I should keep a look out for it again.
Thank you about the elf legs. Better elf than winter white!
      Thanks for stopping by,

  2. I will just imagine you in front of the car in your blue dress. Although, I kind of like it with your cat as a backdrop better. But then I am biased of course!

    1. I know, the cats make a great backdrop, especially since they were involved in a little game around the scratching post at the time.
I hope you had a great holiday,

  4. I love love love your "elf" outfit. The deer are so cute! I like the colored tights with it, too. You are right, that outfit with the car would have been amazing! But you still looked pretty in front of it in your sweater. I took a bunch of pictures the other day in the most gorgeous scenery and hated every single one. So, I got home and had my daughter snap some in our backyard. I liked them all. You just never know with pictures. You look great in blue!

    1. Thank you! I thought you would appreciate an Elf theme. But I do remember that you are truly a Gnome person and not so much an Elf person.
It is funny how pictures go in the blogging world. My daughter, who is about to turn nine, has taken some good pictures also. Good lighting is so important, even more important than the background.
I look forward to getting caught up on your blogs. I have a hard time keeping up since you post everyday. How do you do it!
      Thanks,
      Stacey

  5. This palette of blues and greens is so wintry and lovely! The deer are a sweet touch, perfect for the holidays. I love that it's elf-inspired but still so contemporary and fashionable. You know I love dressing for a theme!

As a side note, have you heard about the new Lilly Pullitzer for Target collection launching April 19th? I hope to get a post up about it next week on the blog. I am VERY excited. There will be hundreds of items from women's apparel, to patio decor, to dishes, to bedding, etc. I know you love preppy styles and the 1950's and 60's, so I though you'd be interested. I'm definitely looking forward to it. The palette of neons and brights is totally my home decor. And I love collecting dishes and linens, so I just can't wait!

    1. Hi again and thank you for the sweet compliment!
I am very excited about the Lilly Pulitzer for Target and I might just have to get to the store right when they open. This is probably going to be a very competitive shopping experience. I wonder if shopping on line is worth a try also.
I have seen some of the pictures, but it's hard to get a good look at some of the items like the jewelry.
I hope they leak out more photos so we can plot a plan of action!
      Have a great day,
      Stacey
