Good Thrifting Day

It was a chilly day when I had to take Coraline to the Veterinarian because she had been coughing for more than a week and not one hairball was coming up.  They gave her antibiotics in case it was a viral  infection and because the cough improved right away, I'm guessing that may have been the culprit.

The second picture is to show off how cute Coraline looks in her carrier.

In regards to the outfit, everything but the shoes are one or two years old.  I'm in Anthropologie Pilcro jeans, Target Merona bird print buttondown and a cardigan from Marshalls by Bianca B.  I have it hooked closed by a Joan Rivers dog pin.
The shoes are the American Eagle Bayley Twist flat from Payless in the color Menswear.  They have a tweed wool look so I guess that is why they came up with the color Menswear.  Menswear is not a color though.

I found this Deletta shirt at one of my favorite consignment shops and I look forward to pairing it with a Maxi skirt when the weather heats up.
My Goodwill haul yielded a pristine dark coral Deletta shirt, a 50's looking brown cardigan and a charming rayon scarf with no brand name.
The brown cardigan did not have a tag and I'm guessing it was handmade.  The length is on the shorter side so I should try it with a dress in a 50's silhouette.
I love the colors in this scarf along with the Elephants, Birds and lady in pink.

  1. Awwwww... poor Coraline! I'm so glad that she is all better now!
She really does look fabulous in her cat carrier. So chic. And I do believe that she knows she looks fabulous. Maybe she got sick on purpose so she could get a photo op in her carrier? You never know with cats!
You are so good at thrifting! Beautiful finds!

    1. Thank you, she is a beautiful girl and I wish we would have adopted her brother who was a Lynx Point or white Tiger like Nina. At the time we thought two cats were enough. But we ended up with three a few years later anyway. Like Bombay, we found her through one of Pet Smart's charities. Nina is from the SPCA.

  2. That printed scarf is a great find! It has a folksy, Scandinavian look to it. What fun!

Great score with the Deletta tee! I miss their tops and had tees from them that lasted for years. I don't feel like Anthro's tee are the same quality anymore. Everything is thin, in that sheer slub knit, or is so boxy or free flowing that they just don't work on my body. But I remember those "popcorn" gathered Deletta tees! Simple and perfect with a printed skirt.

Glad that the antibiotics seemed to pep Coraline right back up! She must be such a diva, traveling in that carrying case! We always toted Scooper around in this huge gray plastic thing with a wire cage door. Not so luxurious, I'm afraid!

    1. Thank you. We found this cat carrier at Pet Smart and it's great because you can unzip the top.
Popcorn gathered top is a good description for these Deletta tees. So many people loved the gathered tees that I don't know why they do not make more.
